| Our Excellence |
We differentiate ourselves by establishing multiple "Centres of Excellence" that coalesce all the specialties surrounding a disease, organ, body system, gender or age group under one roof. This coordinated, multi-disciplinary model allows patients to communicate, access, and receive a “one point-of-care service” from the clinical consultants and specialists at each centre. Our clinicians take the time to listen and thoroughly understand the health issues of their patients and provide them with best possible evidence-based cure.
The Hospital is immediately adjacent to the impressive Medical Campus of the University of Sharjah in University City. It comprises 210 beds, 40 specialty Outpatient Clinics, 11 ICU beds, 6 CCU beds, 10 neonatal ICU beds, 9 Day Care Unit beds, 6 Operating Theatres, Labour Ward, 28 Emergency Room beds, and its Pharmacy provides medication to patients at all hours, day and night.
Our Medical Diagnostic Imaging Department has state of the art equipment that includes MRI, 128 slice CT scanner, Ultrasound, fluoroscopy, digital mammography, and bone densitometry. Our Pathology Laboratory is fully equipped with state of the art modern equipment operated by highly qualified, experienced staff.
We are proud to be the first purpose-built University Hospital in the UAE and a centre of medical education and research. All of our carefully selected medical consultants and specialists are also faculty members in the College of Medicine of the University of Sharjah. They all have earned the highest professional and academic qualifications and are continuously enhancing their knowledge and skills, through scientific research and participation in specialized professional conferences and workshops.
