Committed to delivering exceptional care and outstanding services, UHS proudly hosts the Physician Internship Program and has recently gained accreditation from the National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS).
About NIHS
The National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS) is a national institution responsible for spearheading, regulating, and organizing professional development for the healthcare workforce, with a particular focus on specialty training. NIHS operates within the United Arab Emirates University, the country’s premier higher education institution, and is governed by a high-profile Board of Directors, chaired by the HE Minister of Education.
Collaboration with UHS
Under the leadership of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the senior management at UHS, the Physician Internship Program is a collaborative initiative involving:

- University of Sharjah (UoS)
- Sharjah Health Authority (SHA)
