Position Summary
Looking for an Arabic Speaker Nurse Educator who will Act as a resource support to the nursing department, focusing on clinical skills and standards of nursing care.
Supports and accompanies nursing staff during assessment, implementation and evaluation of clinical nursing practice, and giving feedback of level of skill and performance to nurse. Maintains and coordinates yearly education activities ensuring in line with strategic plan of organization
 
Summary of Main
Duties and Responsibilities.	Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital- Sharjah (UHS)	Complies with all UHS policies and procedures and fire regulations	Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation program to assist UHS attain and maintain international accreditation standards	Participates in the process to establish clinical nursing standards, ensuring a high standard of patient care, in accordance with the vision and mission of the hospital	Utilizes adult learning principles, expected outcomes, and recognized education methods to improve the delivery of quality clinical nursing care	Identifies individual and collective learning needs of nursing personnel through observation, assessment and evaluation of skills	Collaborates with unit manger to develop a schedule to assist and accompany nursing staff in all the designated areas on a regular and orderly way	Conducts clinical in-service education and provides remedial educational support to individuals	Assists with probationary assessment of new staff and initiates remedial assistance where needed	Provides support and guidance to new nursing staff to complete the orientation package of the specific area, to be completed in the first three months of employment	Participate in the development of nursing policy as requested by DON, using department approved reference literature	Participate in the development of nursing competencies, based upon the UHS scope of practice for nursing	Assist with the assessment of competencies of individual nursing personnel	Based upon strategic plan of UHS, incident occurrences and mandatory requirements, plans, develops and implements the training calendar for the nursing department on a yearly basis	Based upon the yearly training calendar, prepares the budget required for submission to the DON	Develops, and maintains instructional and reference materials and recommends purchase of new and updated items for clinical improvement	Based on an educational need’s assessment, collaborates with unit manger to set learning objectives for each area of responsibility that are consistent with the philosophical, fiscal and operational plan of the Nursing Department
 
Required	Graduate of an accredited school of nursing holding a BSc /Diploma of Nursing, not less than 3 years study duration

Desirable	BLS instructor certificate	Post graduate qualification in education within nursing
 
Licenses/Registration
Required	UAE Ministry of Health License
 
Within three months of employment	BLS certificate
 
Position criteria	8-10 years post graduate nursing experience plus 3-5 years in an education role.	Demonstrate the ability to develop and provide Educational Programs/activities to individuals, small & large groups	Prior experience in education /training
 
Advantage	previous experience in a commissioning environment	previous experience of working in International accredited hospital
