CORTICOSTEROIDS: 

Injections of a corticosteroid drug into your knee joint may help reduce the symptoms of an arthritis flare and provide pain relief that may last a few months.  

HYALURONIC ACID:

A thick fluid, like the fluid that naturally lubricates joints, hyaluronic acid can be injected into your knee to improve mobility and ease pain. 

PROLOTHERAPY:

Hypertonic dextrose improves the Knee pain. Dextrose prolotherapy effective management of knee osteoarthritis.

After the Intra Articular Injection Kindly follow the recommendation:

  • Protect the injection area for a day or two. If you received the injection in your knee, avoid any sudden injury over the knee and any kind of exercise for two days
  • Apply ice to the injection site as needed to relieve pain. Avoid using hot pack. Although its fine to take shower same day of receiving injection
  • Watch for signs of infection, including increasing pain, redness and swelling that last more than 48 hours, kindly visit the clinic or emergency department.
  • Kindly Follow up  the clinic after three weeks
