Dr Hamid Alhaj has extensive experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the United Kingdom and has worked for over 13 years in England within the National Health Service (NHS) and private sector

Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah

He holds the position of Director of Research for the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure Units (NAPICU) in the UK

He also holds an Honorary Senior Clinical Lectureship at the University of Sheffield

Before Joining University Hospital Sharjah, he worked as a Specialist Pediatrician at prestigious hospitals in the UAE. Additionally, worked in Clinical research trials on Vagus Nerve Stimulation therapy in Depression at Saint Louis, Missouri, USA.
