IUI is one of the procedures to carry out artificial insemination. It helps sperms swim to the fallopian tube and fertilize the eggs resulting in a normal pregnancy. Washed and concentrated semen is inserted around the uterus at a pre-estimated time of the release of eggs by the ovaries. IUI can be streamlined with a regular period cycle or with fertility drugs. IUI is feasible for conception for conditions like endometriosis infertility, mild male factor infertility, cervical factor infertility, ovulatory factor infertility and unexplained infertility.
