Who we are

The University Hospital of Sharjah was established in 2007 as a non-profit organization under Amiri Decree No. (8) issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Located beside the University of Sharjah campus, the hospital is known for its commitment to quality care and its focus on the needs of every patient.

Our team includes highly qualified physicians and consultants with American and/or European Board certifications (or their equivalents), supported by advanced medical facilities and specialized service centers.

The hospital offers over 45 specialties and subspecialties and has been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) since 2015.

UHS is located next to the University of Sharjah and includes 225 inpatient beds, 43 emergency beds, a 28-bed ICU, and 20 NICU beds, in addition to 71 outpatient clinics, 6 delivery suites for childbirth, and 14 dialysis beds dedicated to hemodialysis, along with four inpatient and VIP wings, while both adult and pediatric emergency departments operate 24/7 to ensure continuous care for all patients.
