Physicians Internship Program

The Physicians Internship Program at UHS is a structured one-year training program designed to provide newly graduated doctors with hands-on clinical experience. This program facilitates the transition from academic studies to real-world medical practice, offering comprehensive exposure to various medical disciplines. Interns will develop their skills, refine their knowledge, and prepare for medical licensure.

Nurses Internship Program

The Nurses Internship Program at University Hospital Sharjah (UHS) is a structured clinical bridging program delivered through the Training and Education Department in collaboration with the Nursing Department. It is specifically designed for newly graduated nurses who have not yet acquired clinical experience and nurses with gaps in recent clinical practice who require supervised training to qualify for the Sharjah Health Authority (SHA) License. This program aligns with the requirements set by the Sharjah Health Authority for clinical readiness and supports eligible candidates in gaining the hands-on training, competency development, and clinical documentation needed for licensing and practice within the UAE.

Allied Health Internship Program

The Allied Health Internship Program is designed for recent graduates in Allied Health fields who are seeking licensure and evaluation with the Sharjah Health Authority (SHA). This structured program provides hands-on clinical training across multiple Allied Health departments, including Radiology, Dietetics, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, and Laboratory Medicine.

Interns will gain practical experience through departmental rotations under expert supervision, ensuring they meet SHA licensure and evaluation standards. The program includes structured educational plans and HR orientation to facilitate professional growth.

Undergraduate Training Program

This program is designed for students currently enrolled in undergraduate health-related programs. It helps bridge the gap between academic study and the real-world hospital environment, providing an opportunity to explore how patient care and hospital services are delivered. Through this program, students will gain firsthand exposure to hospital environments by observing workflows across both clinical and non-clinical departments.

The program provides valuable insight into patient care pathways, inter-professional collaboration among healthcare teams, and the core healthcare processes and administrative operations that support effective, high-quality care delivery.

Note: This program is observational only and does not involve direct hands-on patient care.

Clinical Attachment Program

The Clinical Attachment Program provides medical graduates and healthcare professionals with structured observational exposure to clinical practice within a supervised hospital environment. Participants gain insight into hospital systems, multidisciplinary teamwork, and evidence-based medical practice through guided clinical observation and academic engagement.
