Launch of the National Blood Pressure Awareness Campaign

University Hospital Sharjah, in collaboration with its strategic partner Sharjah Health Authority, organized the launch ceremony of the National Hypertension Awareness Campaign. This initiative is part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to promote public health and raise community awareness of chronic diseases, with a particular focus on high blood pressure, one of the leading risk factors for heart disease and strokes.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chairperson and Director of Sharjah Health Authority, the Executive Director of University Hospital Sharjah, along with medical staff, and employees from Sharjah Health Authority and Sharjah Health City.
A series of awareness activities and events were launched targeting various segments of the community, emphasizing the importance of early detection and adopting a healthy lifestyle to prevent complications from hypertension.
The campaign’s activities will continue across multiple locations in the Emirate of Sharjah, aiming to reach the largest possible audience, encourage regular health screenings, and raise awareness about factors affecting blood pressure, including diet, physical activity, and stress management.
