University Hospital Sharjah has been accredited as a “Baby Friendly Hospital” for the third time. This recognition was achieved after the hospital successfully met the quality healthcare standards and the dedicated effort of the medical team, nursing and midwifery department. The World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF”, represented by the National Assessors Committee under the Ministry of Health and Prevention, announced the hospital’s fulfillment of the title’s criteria. This accomplishment reflects the hospital’s adoption of a breastfeeding policy, the development of a training system for hospital staff, and the establishment of a supportive environment for mothers to ensure and promote breastfeeding, and the provision of antenatal and postnatal educational sessions

A cooperation agreement has been signed between the Digital Dental Center and the University Hospital Sharjah for providing dental treatment under general anesthesia at the University Hospital Sharjah.   This collaboration comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare and deliver advanced dental services to the community, contributing to the support of the healthcare sector and the development of medical services in the Emirate of Sharjah.
