A week-long fun-filled educational activities and competitions were conducted on October 22 to 26 to celebrate the International Infection Prevention Week 2023. This year’s theme is “Celebrating the Fundamentals of Infection Prevention”. The event was organized by the Prevention and Control of Infection Committee with the support of the hospital’s Executive Committee. The aim of this celebration is to highlight and showcase the importance of infection prevention and control among healthcare workers, patients, families, and visitors.

On Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the University Hospital of Sharjah team was present at Sheraa Entrepreneurship Center, Sharjah during a health event for its employees. Our team presented a group of medical examinations and an awareness lecture about breast cancer, how to undergo breast self-examinations, and other tips to follow to reduce the risk of breast cancer

The Emergency Department Medical team at UHS coordinated “ 1st Emergency Scientific Activity ”. This event aimed to assess and review emergency cases following the latest global medical standards and guidelines. by the presence of Prof. Ahmed Shorrab, Acting Medical Director and Head of the Anesthesia Department. Several doctors and nurses from the Emergency Department also actively participated in this significant event.
