150 visits to the oncology clinic at the University Hospital Sharjah per month

Dr. Riyad Bin Dardaf, a consultant oncologist at the University Hospital Sharjah, confirmed that he receives 150 cases per month in the oncology clinic ranging from follow-up or new cases, advising men and women of the need to exercise regularly and reduce fast food and increase fiber, vegetables, and fruits, and quit smoking. In addition to the early detection of men and women, such as the PSA analysis in men starting from the age of fifty, and for women, a mammogram or the USS Breas image at an early age to detect tumors in the early stages.

UHS announces the introduction of the latest technology in endoscopic orthopaedic surgery

Dr. Ahmed Aboub, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Head of Orthopaedic Departments at Sharjah University Hospital, said: “Arthroscopic surgeries have become the predominant surgeries in the hospital, Since the opening of the of Orthopedic Surgery Department in 2011, it has gradually evolved into a center of excellence for bones and joints. We have 6 orthopaedic specialists who receive more than 300 patients per day”.

In collaboration with Sharjah Education Council, UHS Nursing Department organized a three-day training workshop on Child Growth and Development, Chronic Diseases Management in Children, and Child Vision Examination”, To support the school nurses with information’s and practical experiences which can be utilized while caring for children at the schools, where more than 100 nurses attended the workshop from schools in Sharjah and the northern regions.
